Music is my life. I am so passionate about teaching and performing and I can’t stop doing this! Ena Kajino
About Ena: Ena has been teaching violin for over 30 years. Her lesson plans are inspired by the student, her own education from three continents, Japan, Austria and Canada, and her long time performing as a professional musician in Japan and Europe. Primarily a classical violinist with a Master's degree in violin performance from the Mozarteum University Salzburg that is one of prestigious music schools of the world. While continuing her performing and teaching career, Ena pursued a doctorate in musicology and cultural science from University of Tokyo, and has been established fame as a musicologist and author.

“I absolutely love teaching lessons. People say, “Music knows no borders,” and I truly love bringing joy to others through my playing and spending time with my students during lessons.
The violin is a very difficult instrument to play. It might even be the most difficult instrument in the world. Mastering the technical skills—with the fundamentals being the most important—is no easy feat, but with consistent practice, anyone can improve.
Learning the violin is like climbing a mountain. Everyone walks toward the summit, but along the way, they might see beautiful scenery, feel exhausted, or even fall and get hurt. My job is to teach students the necessary skills at the right moments and encourage them to keep climbing. It’s also my job to guide them, saying, “If you go that way, you’ll see a beautiful view.” Lessons are absolutely a collaborative effort between the student and me.“
Policy
Studying with Ena is a monthly commitment. She offers in-studio lessons. You can start by choosing a course with basically 4 lessons per month for children up to elementary school age, 2 or 3 lessons per month for adults. Those who wish to do so may also take additional lessons. The student will learn to read music, learn to play alongside others and will showcase their work in a yearly recital.

LESSON DATE and TIME
9:30-22:00, any day of the week, flexible lesson schedule
all students take 60-minute lessons, except Preschool-aged beginners.
Unlike the piano, the violin takes a little time to take out of its case, set up and tune. If you rush through your lessons, that lack of time and composure will be evident in your playing. I want you to have the mental and physical space to focus, which is why I schedule 60-minute lessons. This approach has worked very well, yielding excellent results even with children who are easily distracted.
LESSON FEE
Prices vary depending on the level. e.g. 16,000JPY/Month (60min × 2)
