My experience with Jakob Winter violin case

I bought very fashionable Jakob Winter’s violin case for my second instrument. On the second day after I started using this case, while changing trains, one of the shoulder strap attached to the case came off by itself and the instrument case almost fell off. The hook engagement is reversed, which is the cause of the problem. I have only used the case 5 times and the same incident happened 3 of those times. So I fixed it with wire☺️

However I don’t want anything bad to happen to my violin. So I haven’t used this case since then. The case just sits at home.

A few days ago, I took a closer look at the case and noticed something. There are two clasps that close the top lid of the case. One of them does not engage at all. No matter how many times I tried, one of the clasps would not close correctly. (In fact, I didn’t believe in the function of the lid clasp, so when I used this case, I closed the lid and then fastened it with a belt. So it was no danger✌️）

My conclusion. This case is perfect for keeping in the house as an interior decoration. （I am tired of worrying about too many things to make this case practical…)

For practical use I will recommend GEWA, BAM and MAURIZIO RIBONI to my violin students and my colleagues.

軽いヴァイオリンケースをひとつ持っていたいと思って、今年の夏、ヤコブウィンター製のケースを買いました。なかなか素敵な柄です

すごく軽くて、とても素敵なデザインです。色も割とどんな服にも合わせやすい✨

ただ残念なのが、強度が思った以上に低い‥

まずケース上蓋を閉じる留め金。２つあるうちの片方が、全く噛み合っていません。

雨漏りしそう‥というか、蓋が勝手にひらいてしまうと怖いですよね〜

そしてショルダー。ケース付属の肩紐はフック（引っ掛けるパーツ）が、とても脆弱です。5回使って3日はフックが勝手に外れる事故が起こりました。そういうこともあろうかと思って、肩紐２本とも肩にかけていたので、ケースを落とすことはありませんでした✌️

フックがひとりでに外れて、楽器ケース落とす事故って多いのですよね‥みなさまもお気をつけて！

このケースは、あくまでも軽い用事用として買ったものなのですが‥ インテリアとして使うことにします！

昨年のコンサートで久しぶりに会えたヴァイオリニスト野口千代光ちゃんも、超人的なパワーで芸大教授とお母さん業をこなしているようでした。私たち、働き盛りなのですね〜。忙しいうちが花かな(^^)
